Robotics summer placement

Today our professor Dr.Al-Nuaimy came in and checked in on how far we are in this project. We shared some of the design works we did in the first and second week. In addition, we showcase the operation we are able to run on the machine. We also talked about the difficulties we ran into during our research and exploration of the CAD, CAM software, including installing the compatible drivers for the CNC router and learning to convert files into the correct format. During Dr.Al-Nuaimy visits to the Lab/office, The director came in and have a chat with us, we used this chance to express our frustration with the machine and explain why it is important to have a stable driver to utilize the CNC machine in the long term. The director then proceeds to tell us he will look into it and give us the support we need which we appreciate. 26/6/2019 For the past few days, the first thing we did was to plan the objectives we want to accomplish in the first week so that we have a schedule to follow and work in a general direction that keeps us organized. One of the objectives is attempting to create an imitation of any one of the rotors, we took measurements of the rotors we plan to use and recreate it on AutoCAD.We pick a rotor that is different than each other as our goal is to recreate rotors that are going to be various sizes. we found a lot of information and tutorials on AutoCAD which is helpful and enable us to get a better understanding of the software. At the beginning of drawing and sketching the rotors, we had difficulties to use the software as we only had experiences with entry-level CAD software such as SketchUp, therefore AutoCAD seems very intimidating at first sight.
